Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Compliance Training for Volunteers 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Examiners are looking for this training…volunteers need to be familiar with BSA requirements. Attendees will walk through an overview and historical background of BSA and learn the specifics every board must actively keep up with, such as BSA policy, risk assessment, ongoing training, and Suspicious Activity Report filings.

First Responder Credit Union Peer-to-Peer Analysis 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Expect an informative and lively discussion that examines first responder niche credit unions across the nation and how we stack up against the broader population. Utilizing the powerful financial analysis software for credit unions, Grant Sheehan presents Callahan & Associates' Peer-to-Peer assessment and analysis for first responder credit unions, conference credit unions and individual assessments for each credit union. Grant will facilitate an engaging discussion with CEO's, management and financial minded volunteers to explore areas of strength and opportunities unique to our credit unions serving firefighters and first responders.

Day trip to St Petersburg. Visit the Dali museum or take your time and visit the city of St Petersburg. Things to do and see.

His fiercely technical yet highly unusual paintings, sculptures and visionary explorations in film and life-size interactive art ushered in a new generation of imaginative expression. From his personal life to his professional endeavors, he always took great risks and proved how rich the world can be when you dare to embrace pure, boundless creativity.

You will arrive in the city by 10:00 am and leave at 2:00 pm. Lots of time to see what St Petersburg has to offer. $35 includes transportation and ticket to Dali museum.

Each credit union will present a brief description of their credit union any major activities, what has worked for them and what hasn't. A great opportunity to begin collaboration and have continued discussions throughout the conference so that you have some takeaways that you may be able to implement at your credit union.

Terry E Wright

Terry E. Wright is a graduate of Airport High School located in Carleton Mich. He completed his Bachelors of Science Degree in Communications and Business at Union University in Jackson Tenn. He enlisted in the U.S Army after graduating from College. He was selected to attend Officer Candidate School while in basic training. He completed U.S. Army Jump School, Officer Candidate School, and the U.S. Army Field Artillery Basic Course. Terry served his active duty time at Ft. Hood in Killeen Texas. Terry has also been a successful business consultant and coach during the past several years. He specializes in change management, leadership development, and individual and team communications. Terry has given over 5,000 speeches on a variety of subjects, to a myriad of audiences.

Steven Rick

Steven Rick

Steven Rick is the Chief Economist for CUNA Mutual Group in Madison, Wisconsin. His primary responsibilities include conducting strategic research, analysis, and forecasting of the financial services industry with special emphasis on the consumer and credit union markets. Steve’s forecasts serve as a starting point for the strategic planning process and help to create a clear understanding of the underlying trends and links between the general economy, the financial services industry, and CUNA Mutual’s policyowners. Steve publishes the Credit Union Trends Report, a monthly “pulse check” on the economic state of the credit union movement. He has authored a textbook on asset-liability management for credit union executives. Before joining CMG Steve was the Senior Economist for CUNA & Affiliate’s Economics & Statistics Department for 22 years. Steve also serves on the Board of Directors of the University of Wisconsin Credit Union, a $1.9 billion financial institution. Steve also holds a senior lecturer position with the Economics Department at the University of Wisconsin where he teaches the money & banking and macroeconomics courses. Steve is also the facilitator and instructor of the Stanford Bank Game, a computerized bank simulation, for CUNA Management School. He also has two years experience as a bank simulation advisor for the Prochnow Graduate School of Banking. Mr. Rick has a B.A. in Economics from Moorhead State University; a B.S. in Finance from Moorhead University; and a M.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He is also ABD Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.


Seth Jaffe is Vice President of the Incident Response Practice at LEO Cyber Security.  In his role at LEO, Seth assists clients in the preparation, maturation, testing, and training of all things incident response, leveraging his fifteen years’ experience in NASA’s Mission Control to bring a unique perspective to the industry. Prior to LEO, Seth held the position of technology attorney at a major U.S. airline, where he was the lead Legal team member on the Incident Response Team, tasked with developing incident response procedures and policies, facilitating effective emergency communication with other team members, and responding to actual incidents, should they occur.  Seth also sat on an executive steering committee charged with making strategic decisions about the company incident response plan and socializing cyber security issues to executives.  Earlier in his career, Seth worked in Mission Control at NASA’s Manned Spaceflight Center, where he was certified on both the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station (“ISS”), and served the role of senior flight controller, evaluator, and instructor.  In the Mission Control environment, Seth trained candidates to react to time-sensitive emergency situations.  He took part in over 100 simulations and logged over 3000 hours flying the ISS, experience he draws upon in his incident response practice.  Seth is also a Certified Business Continuity Profession

Remember to bring your name badge with you to all events. If tickets are issued, they will be collected by staff as you enter the event or function. If you forget, and some do, please see one of the event staff for assistance.

If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to send a substitute. Or, if you cancel 45 days before the event in writing, you may get a full refund. After that date, there is no refund, but you may use 75% of your registration fee at any future NCOFCU Convention. Registrants who do not cancel and do not attend are liable for the full conference fee. 

NCOFCU reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event due to unforeseen circumstances, and will refund fees if the event is rescheduled or location is changed. 

In order to be considered for refund, you must cancel your registration due to the change.
